An estimated 132 protesters were detained on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles on Thursday morning after they squared off with law enforcement during a protest of the ongoing Gaza war between Israel and Hamas. Protesters were locking arms, forming a human chain and refusing to let go, but they were eventually rounded, placed in zip ties and transferred on buses over jail. LAPD and California Highway Patrol were seen dismantling the encampment set up by demonstrators on campus. The detainments came after LAPD said no arrests were made during the previous night when violence erupted on campus, leading to people being pepper-sprayed and one protester was hit in the head with a speaker. Dr. Asaf Romirowsky, the executive director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow, describing the protesters nationwide as "anti-American" and "pro-Hamas."
