MUSIC | Yamke on creating 'feel good' music

Born "Yamkela Sigagayi" from a small village called Sankobe in Mqanduli situated in the Old Transkei in the Eastern Cape, she adopted her childhood nickname Yamke. She draws inspiration from artists such as Msaki, H.E.R and Tiwa Savage. The songwriter kept her dream alive by sharing videos of her singing on social media.
