Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment Barbara Creecy has handed over three forests to the communities of Ngqamakhwe and Butterworth in the Eastern Cape. The aim is to return land and plantations that were forcefully taken by the apartheid government. Villagers will be trained to plant and produce trees for commercial use.
